The turning point for him arrived with often difficult decision to embark on the path to recovery for himself and his children. Through unwavering commitment to therapy, support groups, and personal reflection, he confronted the root causes of his PTSD and addiction by learning to process trauma in healthy ways and developing powerful coping mechanisms including the Stellate Ganglion block.Today, he stands as a living example of recovery and post-traumatic growth. He has dedicated his life and career to being an advocate physician for others in overcoming trauma in sharing his story to break down stigmas surrounding mental health and addiction. With an extensive education and training background, Dr. Romig including undergraduate at Duke University he then earned his doctoral degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Washington Hospital System in Seattle. He further honed his expertise with a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta.Dr. Romig's career spans prestigious roles, including serving as an assistant professor at Emory University and as a staff physician at Washington Adventist Hospital and Mission Anesthesia Consultants. He has significantly contributed to advancing Stellate Ganglion Blocks, ketamine therapy and holistic mental health approaches, with leadership roles at Ketamine Wellness Center of Orange County and Ark Integrative Medicine and now HealthQuest Wellness.
